My name is Lisa, I’ve recently joined the team here at Acorn and I’m very excited to be writing my first blog post!

I don’t know about you, but with the miserable grey weather I like nothing more than to curl up on the sofa after work and watch something that’s going to make me laugh. At the moment I’m watching ‘Tracey Ullman’s Show’ which is on BBC1 at 10.45pm on Monday nights. It’s the latest comedy sketch show from Emmy award-wining comedian Tracey Ullman. Tracey is best-known in the UK for her work in ‘A Kick Up The Eighties’ and ‘Three of a Kind’ before moving to the US where she launched her own show.

Tracey is a master impressionist and has created some fantastic new characters as well as familiar faces for her new show. Her impression of Dame Maggie Smith auditioning for action films is hilarious, and making Dame Judi Dench a kleptomaniac troublemaker is inspired. Her repeated declaration of ‘I’m a national treasure’ is sure to become a catchphrase. My favourite characters are the American tourists who are very enthusiastic about all things British – even the rain! I wish I felt the same about our winter weather!

Do you remember Tracey first time round, or are you a new fan? Let me know in the comments.
