New Tricks Series 11

Tamzin Outhwaite returns to the telly this week in two of the BBC’s hottest shows, New Tricks and Who Do You Think You Are?

In New Tricks, Tamzin’s DCI Sasha Miller leads a team of retired coppers who crack cold cases which had previously gone unsolved. Series 11 kicks off on Monday 18 August with Miller forced into working with her ex-husband Ned, played by Barnaby Kay.

Then Tamzin returns to screens sooner than expect on Thursday 21 August in the latest episode of Who Do You Think You Are? Series 11.

The former Eastenders actress has always been fascinated by her Italian roots, but while she remembers her grandfather Remo, she knew very little about his family in the homeland.  Her journey of discovery uncovers a rags-to-riches tale, the story of her great-grandfather Aldelmo. Along the way, she will also wind up at a rather unexpected destination: a prisoner of war camp.

It’s a typically fascinating journey into the past and just latest revelatory episode in what could be amongst the best series of the beeb’s genealogy show.

Who Do You Think You Are? Series 11 will soon be available to pre-order from Acorn DVD so stay tuned for your chance to pick up a copy for a special offer price. Series 10, featuring Sarah Millican, Minnie Driver and Gary Lineker is available for pre-order now, ahead of its official release on Friday 22 September.

New Tricks Series 11 is also available for pre-order from Acorn DVD right now. The all-new collection of thrilling cases continues to follow Dan Griffin (Nicholas Lyndhurst), Gerry Standing (Dennis Waterman) and Steve McAndrew (Denis Lawson) as they rake up the past to bring long-standing criminals to justice.
