Personal Quotes

On joining Emmerdale:

"I've never done anything like this before so it's something different for me and I'm very happy to be a part of it".

On her character Susan in Broadchurch:

"Susan is very dark and has rather a sinister presence. The only thing she shows any emotion for is her dog. She seems to be totally cold. She just seems to always be there just watching and lurking and listening."

On suffering from stagefright

"I was sick before every single episode of Birds Of A Feather, all 100 shows. It was the A word - audience - that sparked it off. Standing in front of a camera doesn't worry me, but the minute I'm stuck in front of real people I'm petrified"
