Inspector Montalbano takes on six new cases and a variety of temptations, not least some seductive fellow officers and some very fine Italian cooking, in this exciting second collection.

Gripping, compelling, mouth-watering, and uniquely Italian, the Inspector Montalbano mysteries are as rich and varied as the bestselling Andrea Camilleri novels they are based on.  Facing every challenge while deflecting heavy-handed politics from above and mafia influences from below; trying to keep his often distracted staff focused on the job at hand, Inspector Montalbano as played by the superb Luca Zingaretti is a force to be reckoned with – and to be sat back with and enjoyed.
